Bristol Historical Society NEWS

The Bristol Hills Historical Society (formally known as the Bristol & South Bristol Historical Societies) is seeking new members and encouraging our current members to send in renewals this spring so that you may enjoy the full benefits of membership, and help us to preserve the history of our towns. Additional membership forms for 2019 are available at the Bristol and South Bristol Town Halls and the Bristol Library or by downloading one on our Membership Page,  here on the website.

BHHS membership benefits include: electronic newsletter, local genealogy research, free program admission, Guided tour of collection, and Invitations to area history programs and collaboration with your neighbors to discover the rich history of our area.

We have many ongoing projects and committees for members to work on. We are currently creating a Historic Photo Traveling Exhibit that will be popping up at the Town Halls, Bristol Library and at the Bristol Fun day in June.  We have openings on our  BHHS committees for grant writing, inventorying, cataloguing, fundraising, researching, publicizing, displaying, programming, repairing cemeteries, and enhancing our buildings and grounds projects. There are many ways you could lend a hand in these community projects. Contact Town Historian Beth Thomas at 585-704-7209

if you would like to help with any of these activities.
